Black and White Checked Cabinet Knobs

I don't know what came over me, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I really wanted to paint the ceramic knobs for the cabinets. Free handing black squares on those things was not easy. I drew the pattern on with pencil and then colored the squares in with a black Sharpie. Funny thing: I thought Sharpies were permanent, but I had to put a coat of polyurethane on them.
