I wanted to soften up the look of the living room by adding some curtains. I am stuck with the awful recliner, so try to work around it!
I saw these curtains in a room makeover in Better Homes and Gardens. Actually it was a sun room, but the curtains had the informal look I wanted. Vivan curtains from Ikea and a small white rod from WalMart. The curtains were hemmed by using the iron-on tape provided with them. One of the panels was pretty warped, so even that was not an easy project. I made the tie-backs using the fabric cut from the bottom of one of the panels. I folded it over and secured with fabric glue. This was one of my laziest projects ever.
I am happy with the change.
